This project continues my previous explorations, this time focusing on my language, Armenian.
The modern “illuminated” letterforms are original designs constructed with Neurographic geometry.
Adopting a Gothic aesthetic, the calligraphic elements draw inspiration from the work of Armenian calligrapher and artist Ruben Malayan, while evolving into a distinct visual language shaped by my own stylistic lens.
Some of the pieces carry the names of historical Armenian figures (Narekatsi, Toros Roslin, Movses Khorenatsi, Komitas), while others are rooted in Biblical passages, contemplative language, and song lyrics, both folk and contemporary.
